Your role at Nygard…

I’m the Merch Support for the USA division of our Alia brand. What does that involve? I manage our think-tank’s day to day tasks and also prepare the clothing racks used during photo shoots for our online images, working closely with the photographer to select which pictures best represent the look and feel of the brand.

Describe your personal style…

It’s difficult to define my style in a few words. I dress differently according to how I feel each day, although I love mixing tomboy style with classic pieces.

What do you love about your job?

I love that I’m able to work in an environment where I am constantly learning something new about the fashion industry. I find the whole design process fascinating: how an idea turns into a piece of fabric which then ends up as an item of clothing on a rack in a store and has the potential to become somebody’s go-to look in their wardrobe. Another plus? Discovering what the latest trends are going to be ahead of time means I can stay one step ahead of the crowd.

What is your go-to piece in your wardrobe?

Black skinny jeans, for sure!

Where do you go for style inspiration?

Everywhere! Literally anything and everything inspires me. My style is constantly evolving and there’s so much content on social media, in magazines and on YouTube that contributes to my growth in style. I think it’s amazing that people from all over the world are willing to share their ideas and end up helping creatives like myself to constantly push their fashion boundaries.

If you could only wear 5 pieces for the rest of your life, what would you pick?

Skinny jeans, a white tee, sneakers, nude pumps and (of course) a leather jacket.

What has been your career highlight so far here at Nygard?

It was most definitely being asked to model in the Fall 2016 Nygard Fashion show! I got the chance to experience what goes on backstage, I walked the runway and the good vibes in the showroom were incredible. It was a special moment I’ll never forget.

Describe your perfect Friday night…

Having my girls over for drinks and a catch up is definitely a good start to the weekend!

TThis floral maxi looks amazing on you! Tell us why you picked it for your shoot…

I tend not to wear girly dresses that often, but this one really stood out for me. The print is feminine without being overpowering and it’s wrap design makes it so comfy to wear. It’s got real boho vibes – I can’t stop twirling in it!

Your life mantra?

I truly believe that we should be the good that we want to see in others. You never know what someone else is going through and just how much kind words and gestures can go a long way!
