Step 1: The Theory
Studies have shown that it takes somewhere between 30 and 66 days to form a new habit. With this in mind, you now have a concrete goal to focus on instead of an endless struggle ahead of you. 1-2 months to start eating right. 1-2 months to commit to a workout plan. We’re no fitness experts, but we sure think that sounds doable, whatever your age!
Step 2: Your First 2 Months
We’re firm believers in the idea that working out with friends or family is the best way to make long-term progress. Although getting up 30 minutes earlier each morning to make time for a workout may sound like hell, you’d be surprised at how much you can enjoy yourself if you know your best friend is also rolling out of bed at an ungodly hour to join you. A short jog or even a walk in the morning can be invigorating and is a great way to motivate yourself for the rest of the day. That mid afternoon sugar-filled coffee won’t seem so tempting after all of your hard work that morning!
